Richard is a barrister with extensive experience in cyber security, information law, data governance, export controls, national security, technology regulation, disputes and complex public-law and regulatory issues.
He advises clients operating where law, technology, data and sensitive commercial or regulatory environments meet — including cyber security, vulnerability research, interception, communications data, international data sharing and practical legal risk mitigation.
Richard has acted as fractional in-house product counsel to cyber security and vulnerability-research companies, and has held senior operational legal roles in government. At Wieder Law he strengthens the firm's capability in technology, cyber, AI, data, export control, sanctions and strategic advisory work.
